We explore shifts in vernalization and phenology in rear-edge populations of Campanula americana to get insight into the adaptation of temperate plants to future milder winters.

Sharing some love <3. A cross-section of a C. americana style with pollen-collecting hairs visible. This sample looks heart-shaped because this is near the tip of the style, where it eventually splits open making 3 stigmatic lobes accessible. The hairs retract over time, releasing pollen!
