A better understanding of antidepressant tolerability can help guide drug and dose choice, improving treatment outcomes.

🧬 CYP2C19 genetic variation has a role in the burden of side effects experienced by individuals taking antidepressants.

🧠 Genetic predisposition to certain psychiatric traits is linked to a higher burden and specific side effects from most antidepressant classes.

We investigated genetic factors linked to antidepressant side effects in 13,000 individuals from the @estbiobank.bsky.social , leveraging data from questionnaires and clinical notes using NLP.
