Love Brie's work! It always makes me feel like im stepping into my childhood, and awakes a whimsical curiosity amongst viewers. The book showing herself in the wings was really sweet but also powerful. Felt like a great way to further unify herself to her art. #ConArtInSitu

Does this make anyone else feel like they're at the renaissance fair? #ConArtInSitu

Fun 3d printed piece I got at the ceramic sale this Friday outside of Sturm. It's so important to support local artists, especially DU students! I hope some of y'all went to check it out. Amazing to see so much talent in our art department! #ConArtInSitu

I visited TANK studios for a field trip last Thursday. It's on broadway so very close to campus. Got to see a lot of cool art given it houses about 20 different artists. Wish I got the name of this person, but love this drawing. #ConArtInSitu

I recently decided to rewatch "Inventing Anna" a Netflix show about Anna Delvey who essentially scammed people into giving her a lot of money. I think she's kinda iconic tbh. Anyways she is now selling her art for 20,000. What do we think ab this? #ConArtInSitu

This is one of my friend's ceramic sculptures. His name is Luke Penton and he does some cool stuff using a 3d printer. This was done with one of those. It's so fun to see it being made through the digital process. I love the unique style and use of texture/color! #ConArtInSitu

What were people's opinions of Biophelia? I think it was cool, but in a way, I was expecting more. I thought it would be a bit more immersive. A lot of sculpture lamps/furniture, but seemed like an extension of the chairs exhibit rather than its own thing. #ConArtInSitu

Who has standing to be smart in public about art? Good question. Public art is a whole debate in itself. Often very controversial too, I think the smarts for public art is the council reviewing proposals. Richard Serras "Titled Arc" is a great example of this. It was not liked. #ConArtInSitu

This is a hard question, is there such thing as "normal" art. It boils down to opinion, but I'd like to rephrase normal with "cliche". I think that there's a type of art that can be more predictable/lack a sense of substance, but once again, thats not fact and opinion. Honestly idk! #ConArtInSitu

Cultural institutions have gift shops because of tourism... but also a great way to show one's culture and allow people to interact with it, even if it's more shallow in the sense of commercialization... Everyone loves to bring home trinkets too. #ConArtInSitu

I loved how so many of the colors in the exhibit paired well with each other. It felt cohesive. Id like one of these lamps in my home.... #ConArtInSitu

Reminded me of the ocean. Love the shades of blue and the texture of the plates. #ConArtInSitu

Reminded me of molten lava... Wish we could've sat on these chairs. #ConArtInSitu

I forget what these are called, (so if anyone happens to know what I'm talking about please comment!!), but it reminds me of the little tan things that fall from trees. Made me feel nostalgic. #ConArtInSitu

This didn't photograph well but loved the idea behind it in terms of showing the weather to patients stuck inside treatment. At first, I thought it was just a blue portal-like thing, but after reading the statement I was touched by it. #ConArtInSitu

I think museums can make an argument. Many exhibits are curated, and the art is specifically selected for them. It's not like anything goes. In my opinion, that aspect of picking and choosing is forming an argument. #ConArtInSitu

What I think it means when you have to "go to art" rather than that it coming to you is its natural appeal. There are artworks I have skipped, solely because I don't find them visually interesting, but I'll still go and look. The difference between art finding me is more immediate. #ConArtInSitu

I know if I feel like I belong to a place and it belongs to me through instinct. I think its something you come to learn through trial and error, where when you begin to exist in new places, you can rather quickly tell where you're happiest. I also think places depend on the people. #ConArtInSitu

I don't think know what it means to feel ‘of a place’. I know how this could apply to me, but universally it can be very different. Some people may love the DAM for example and feel as if they are "of" the place, where I dont. #ConArtInSitu

I have you felt most ‘of a place’ when it's in a more intimate setting. Places like the DAM are so huge that I don't feel super connected to my surroundings. I love going into local galleries where its smaller, and feel more personable. #ConArtInSitu

Space has a huge impact on its surrounding artwork. In responding to this prompt, I could apply this to the exhibit we saw a few weeks ago. I feel as if the work being inside a shopping mall, took away the grandiousness of the pieces versus in a gallery. #ConArtInSitu

"As time passes and we grow into the contemporary, the reasons for remember other times grow, while the ability to recall them weakens" What do you think he means by growing into the contemporary? Aren't we always in it? I do like this interpretation though. #ConArtInSitu

"A keen awareness of contemporary cannot but dissolve the illusion that some things, people, places, and practices are more 'now' than others".
This quote aligns with my questions of contemporary. Can something be more contemporary than the other given its "now" ness? #ConArtInSitu

I enjoy the material of this work. When we think of a rug, it embodies a reminder of home, domestic life, and intimacy. It's not often we are barefoot touching a rug in a place we aren't comfortable in. I think this translates well to the family/connected nature of this. #ConArtInSitu
