2/3 While there, we met a tiny new arrival: a 170g hoglet. One of the vet nurses dubbed her Pee-wee (after the little box she came in—too cute!).

She’s now cozy and happily nibbling diluted puppy mousse while we wait for the all-important poop sample to check for internal parasites. 🩺✨

Today I swapped my “day job” for a rescue run—taking Troy and Thyme from Hamble Hedgehogs Rescue Reg.Charity No: 1185442 to Whiteley Village Vets for their check-ups.

Harold is smashing it! His broken leg is healing beautifully, and he’s powering through treatment for lungworm, roundworm and fluke.

Hedgehogs might snack on a snail or two, slugs and snails aren’t actually a main part of a hedgehog’s diet. In fact, too many can make them sick.

Hedgehog rescues up and down the country are experiencing an increase of overnight "Isolated Weather Events".

Here's an example from Craig - he said he slept through the entire thing! Despite his adorable cute face, we're not so sure he's being completely honest 🤣

We often hear from folks wondering how to safely feed hedgehogs without inviting the neighbourhood cats to the feast.
It's super simple! Set up a feeding station by placing cat food and water inside an upturned plastic box with brick tunnel entrances - a great example is shown.

Just wanted to share a quick update on Herman. He’s doing really well! His surgical site is looking amazing, and he’s busy getting nice and plump.

His roundworm has cleared up with treatment!

Thanks for the donations towards his vet bills. It won't be long now until he returns back to the wild
