I make things in VR too, I guess

…so, yeah, we’re gettin’ there.

The zombies were, again, a merge, this time between Boneworks/Bonelab blue glowing ‘Zombish’ and a certain iteration of COD zombies that eludes me. They were then ignored as I flew out the window, and the dream ended with the chase beginning.

Then, at the top of the building the convention was held in, I was in a room with a vampire-ish woman and a human dude chopping up and storing the bodies killed by Hat Headroom in glass cabinetry along the ceiling.

They ran out the window as the bodies started glowing and become zombies.

Then darkness/shadows started spilling out of all digital screens and covering every surface.

Then I watched, like a first person cutscene, a character that was half Cinnamoroll and half Atom from Pluto used a magic microphone to sing away the shadows.

I just dreamed of a showcase for a new version of Minecraft with seamless dimension travel and end-crystal meteors, then took off a VR headset to be in a convention center, which was then attacked by a digital-ghost version of a mix between the Hat Man and Max Headroom screaming people to death…

Just felt like sharing this cheesy interpretation of a lil unexpected coincidence while we’re riding to our stop.

After enjoying the moment of nostalgia / tranquility, I searched for why this popped up here, just to find that the story has made its rounds again recently.

Time to reread 64 pages.

The part that will let me hold onto wonder as I age.

I looked back at the side of the box, where each of the figures you could get were depicted, and the story retold itself as I recalled each of the characters.

The story is one of a few key memories of mine that I hope will continue to reserve their space in a particular part of my mind;

“All grown-ups were once children...

…but only a few of them remember it”

A quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of Le Petit Prince.

I had read that story once, years ago. I want to say some time around 2014.

It’s one of very few pieces of media which have subtilely stuck with me.

It’s a rocky surface with craters, not unlike the moon. And it struck me as strange.

Why would the child called ‘The Rose’ be on the moon?

But a very faint bell was ringing in the back of my head, which finally clicked when I read the text printed on the protective bag the figure came in:

He opens his, and it’s a little boy, holding and covered with mushrooms, standing on a platform of mud.

I open mine and it’s another little boy, but this one is wrapped up in a rose.

I lament that it was nice, but not one of the few I thought were best.

Then I see his little platform…

That night, he had some homework to do, so he opened one lil box whenever he finished an assignment.

He got 4 boxes from the Hirono series, and on a whim, I decided to open one, too [I’m not one much for figures].

I chose a series called

‘Hirono • The Little Prince’

Just for the aesthetic.

Either way, sample size too small to tell if I enjoy it enough to continue.
