In an expensive area of California between $.53-$.64/kWh. My last 315-mile drive using public chargers (Rivian and Electrify America) was ~$31.

I have to say these kind of shenanigans are why I appreciate my "dumb" 2019 Chevy Bolt without SuperCruise. Even without the OnStar sub, the car still works as expected with minimal over-the-air "surprises."

For example, my last car was received with 120,000 miles, I drove it for 10 years until it had 240,000 miles then bought another used car with 70k miles on it that I intend to keep for at least ten years. For me, resale value wasn't a variable in the decisionmaking process.

Coming in 2026, there's going to be a "Made in California" icon, so we can boycott the US year round.
Rules of it says that the business doesn't have to be CA HQ'ed, and the goods only minimum 51% made in CA to qualify for the "Made in California" icon, but it's a start.
