According to several sources, Domestic (Intimate Partner) Violence is underreported, esp. in strict religious / evangelical homes & regions. So the DV rates in these areas are likely much higher.

MARYLAND has no Abortion restrictions based on pregnancy stage. MD's Domestic Violence rate falls on the Lower end of the US Avg- 34.4% of MD women exp DV. 60% of MD's DV shelter needs are met. MD has strong gun restrictions & Extreme Risk Protection Laws to protect victims.

The US Average for women (& girls) who experience Domestic (Intimate Partner) Violence during their lifetimes is any where from 33% (CDC) - 37.4%(World Population Report), depending on source. When I say a state's DV stats are "on par" w/ US Avg, those stats fall between these percentages.

Women w/ unintended pregnancies are 2-4 times more likely to experience physical violence than those w/ wanted pregnancies. Up to 75% of women & girls abused before pregnancy are abused during pregnancy.

There are groups that do this. The one I know of also provides shelter for domestic violence victims. The FBI is coming after them.
