I lived in London for 16 years & never saw a hedgehog. I moved to Hants, started a hedgehog rescue & admitted hogs from London! Holes for Hedgehogs, are so important for our struggling spiky friends. Have you made yours?

The new year is set to bring in winter proper sub zero temps. Most hedgehogs will be asleep but underweight & poorly hogs will be desperate for food, so don't stop feeding & putting out bowls of water, but reduce the amount and adjust according to activity. #hedgehogs

This poor pigeon has been shot. The Animal and Welfare Act 2006 clearly states it is illegal to cause pain & suffering to an animal or bird. If you see anyone hurting animals or birds call 999 as it is happening, or 101 of the crime has already happened. #stopcruelty

I've lit up the rescue tonight to cheer me up! We have lights so late hog admissions don't disturb our neighbours.

HELPING HEDGEHOGS
Now is a great time to start feeding hedgehogs. Hedgehogs still eat their natural food where they can, but due to loss of habitat, they may struggle to find enough food to stay healthy. Supplementary feeding really helps. Have a read of our poster & help our prickly friends!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mums out there. The sun is shining here, seemingly joining in the special day, & the spring blooms are popping with colour. My mum passed in 2018, but it seems like yesterday. You simply never get enough time with loved ones & always want more.

Tick Tock - The clocks go forward tonight at 1am! However, hedgehogs and other wildlife don't know this, and many animals are at risk from traffic. Please think wildlife and be extra careful when driving this week.
