I wish I could hit myself over the head with a cartoon mallet and forget everything about RotOD so I could play it again
My bf and I just got done playing "The Case of the Golden Idol" to scratch my itch and it was good but not nearly as phenomenal as RotOD
Still hyped to play the sequel to that tho

Loved that show, binged it over like 3-4 days a couple of years ago and still chasing that high
Also I feel like it's rare that I can say "it seems like everyone on screen had fun" and it's not a backhanded compliment but rather a testament to what an enjoyable romp the described piece of media is

I can definitely vouch for octagonal gate feeling good with the game
Had to stop playing on a GameCube controller though, because its un-ergonomic handles made my finger-joints hurt.
But this 8bitdo controller looks a lot more comfortable to hold so that probably wouldn't be an issue here.

Is it a game structured around repeating shorter runs of a similar structure, like a roguelike? Watch me pour hundreds of hours into it without batting an eye
Is it a game, where the game can be beat in one run, like an action RPG? generally I'll want to be done after ~20hrs
