"Mass Effect is by far my favorite series. I've never been more immersed in such a beautiful world. Not only is it incredibly fun, but it did what so many passionate devs strive to do: It empowered me to learn who I was, and who I want to be. And that's pretty neat <3"

"Iris and the Giant by @louisrigaud.bsky.social is a small game that does a lot with its simplicity. The story, character development, and gameplay all feel satisfying and earned. With a handful of mechanics, it makes combat into a compelling puzzle. Plus, it's just gorgeous."

"Terraria is one of those forever games. I'll always love it, and always go back to it every couple years. So much work has been put into it by @redigit.bsky.social and everyone at Re-Logic, it's just amazing <3" - Nick Payton

“I used to play this game with my family all the time when I was a kid. Very good memories of losing in the Marrow fight over and over and over. I appreciate games these days that still embrace couch co-op.”

Hey everyone!
Over this month, our team is gonna showcase their thoughts on what games have stayed with them throughout their lives. Games that inspired them, made them fall in love, and become the people they are today <3

I can already hear the confusion and fear from people that installed it as a gag and forgot the next morning

Technically not Next Fest but close enough :)
7. Winnie's Hole | x.com/TwiceDifferent

Winnie the Pooh horror some bad rep (for good reasons usually) but don't gloss this one over. By "Ring of Pain" devs, both the turn-based combat and deck-building is fun and *very* addictive. Give it a chance <3

6. Hail to the Rainbow | x.com/NoskovSS

I don't know what it is with driving in immersive worlds, but damn it hits just right. Snowy horror landscape & ton of questions/mysteries to figure out. It's a look into what could be an amazing story...and no I'm not still salty about the stealth segment...

5. Trash Goblin | x.com/SpiltMilkStu...

Another example of a short but fun experience. Find, repair, and clean trinkets, then sell them for a profit. Quick and easy to learn, and plenty of combinations when you start combing artifacts. Also G o b l i n .

4. Lost But Found | x.com/RogueDuckNet

A more casual game, but great for my fellow brothers and sisters of the Inventory Management Society. The demo itself may be a lil short, but it's a great look into what could be. Also frick whoever keeps losing their luggage case, I needed that space...

3. Empire of the Ants | x.com/EmpireAntsGame

On the opposite end of the spectrum, RTSs need more love from gamers, and this demo shows why. Not only are the visuals beautiful to look at and explore, but gameplay pushes you to lead your forces into battle yourself. Can't wait for a full campaign!

2. Full Fathom | @daemonhouse.bsky.social

Indie horror has been in a renaissance for a while, and this is why. Immersive environment, seriously in-depth sub management, and a mystery that hooks you instantly. May or may not still need to finish it...vewy scawy
