Here is the motor protein one more time, this time displayed using the ribbon diagram.

Here is the motor protein structure again, this time with just the atoms colored, rather than the tertiary structures. Carbon is black, Oxygen red, Nitrogen blue, and Sulfur is yellow. I must admit I don't know how accurate it actually is, but dang.

I used an addon called Molecular Nodes in Blender. It allows you to download complex protein structures and display them using geometry nodes. This particular structure is a bacterial flagellar motor. It rotates and propels the bacteria forward. Maybe I can figure out how to animate that part!

Hair physics test.

I have enjoyed playing with hair particle systems on Blender and I wanted to share. I love how the hair responds to the little guy’s movements.
