W(pronounced v)DI5 advice from a peer on the journey to becoming a master @mikedoyle.bsky.social - this is also a good clean core option we need to pay attention too. #techedontour

Hiding Draft-Related Features in Fiori seems like a cool annotation feature, but bit of a worry that it saves the draft continously behind the scenes, hence if you close the browser and view the entries, it looks "active" to end user sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/sdk/#/topic/...

Cloudification repository has been updated now too (and yes - note the naming):

I’m curious how many RAP objects in SAP actually support the allowNewCompositions extensibility option (allow you to add 0..n composition). It seems really powerful, but in Public Cloud I can’t figure out how to search for this annotation, and most of the obvious objects don’t seem to have it.

Only a bit more than a month before I have to finalise this ever changing topic with my latest learnings and lessons learned. Plan is to make this about 50% developer focused and 50% IT Manager/Architecture/Functional focused.

This is a really clear example picture of what the inclusion of classic API's within the Clean Core Level Concept can do for your ATC Custom Code Checks - Source community.sap.com/t5/technolog...

Take #2 - Call for proposals for #sapteched open (Yay) - Though have an issue with the AI-only sub-topic lists for dev - What about big dev topics with warts and all feedback? Lessons Learned were the best sessions at TechEd and great conversation starters! community.sap.com/t5/sap-teche...

Project Managers and contract teams still love this approach unfortunately (it's like including activating a number of Fiori apps in an upgrade which happens also)

My learning for today - You can add multiple Access Controls to standard CDS Views, but if you want to combine them to restrict data like I do (hiding employees from Supplier Enterprise Search) - Key words are "COMBINATION MODE AND" - (don't ask me why I'm doing this)

Toying with custom Business Object Situation Handling for today and discovered SOT (SAP Object Types) Repository config which seems pretty fundamental for Event Mesh Publishing and Situation Handling (but feels very bizarre and old school/non clean-core to config):

Dev Advocates doing their thing at #SAUG-x (and doing it well even under pressure of no visuals for a minute there)

Kind of feels like this year's new technology has had too much remit to do AI and forgotten about the usual useful features you go away and play with after #sapteched. Hopefully the roadmap corrects itself next year.
