Do you know the absolute dollars spent, inflation adjusted as a comparison? You can only spend capital so quickly before engineering, permitting, material availability become limiting.

Just went to the CDC website and it says 105K/year—which is a lot but is not “hundreds of thousands”.

To where and for what purpose? I’m struggling to see a coherent strategy in doing this, but I’ve been wrong plenty of times with regard to this administration.
