i think i would honestly find this whole discourse more tolerable if people simply said what they were actually saying, which is that they think the Democratic Party is too associated with femininity (and secondarily, with black people) and that they want to correct this

Oh, many of them definitely are here to sabotage us. I try to engage only if their profile suggests them to be a real person, and only if I have an article, video, or specific example to share in rebuttal. And that's primarily for the benefit of other readers of the convo, not for the doomer.
