This past month has been full of agony, fear, anger, disappointment and disbelief. A thorough review of thousands of contracts within mere days? You cannot even skim through all these documents/proposals if you wanted. What a shame! So many lives affected by the actions of the rich

Roberts hands the Trump administration a victory for now in saying that USAID and the State Department do not need to immediately pay for more than $1.5 billion in already completed aid work. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/26/u...
Chief Justice Allows U.S. to Continue Freeze on Foreign Aid Payments
Lawyers for the government had said it would miss a deadline to release more than $1.5 billion in payments for past aid work and sought a late intervention from the Supreme Court.

Hi! I might be one of the people furloughed at my org because of USAID stop orders, therefore, I would appreciate any job listings/links you have related to water security/climate resilience/WASH space. I’m based in US - 4 yrs of MERL/WASH experience, masters from Oxford in Water Policy & Management

The ripple effects go far beyond the federal employees. We are seeing layoffs in the non-profit industry because the US Government failed on their part to give $$ as per the contracts. Thousands of American jobs lost! I’m one of them. How is this good for the economy?
Federal employees are getting conflicting information about their employment, forcibly getting pronouns removed from email signatures, and waking up unsure if they’ll have a job. The Musk/Trump takeover is also a massive labor story:

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.

Just spitballing, but things that could happen today:
*Court injunction protecting USAID
*Dems demand hearings on Musk's role
*Someone introduce articles of impeachment
*Dem officeholders go to USAID offices with USAID workers
*Refuse to conduct any more Senate confirmations until this is resolved
