Arsenal FC🔴⚪ My thoughts are based on vibes and I'm wrong often, doesn't stop me from spouting my nonsense though.
Liverpool only won last year because we fell away, City only won the year before because we fell away. Never understood this argument that it should somehow cheapen your title win because other teams "weren't as good". Like yeah that's how it works, the best team wins.

I still think he looks too bulky personally, if he trimmed up and focused on running into space instead of defenders he might have a chance yet.

His game in Portugal clearly relied on making contact with the opposition and rolling them with his bodyweight. That's clearly not working for him here. I don't think it's too late for him (yet) but his game needs to change dramatically.

I never had any doubts that he'd stay. To me he's the epitome of what an Arsenal player should be, on and off the pitch. Bring it home Bukayo.

He was so far off it this evening it makes me think there's something else going on with him, it clearly wasn't the plan for him to play. He's really lost that spark and tenacity.

Dare I say it, we might even lose a game between now and the end of the season. Shock horror I know. There's PTSD from City's insane run the other year. They will drop points as well (as we've seen). Let's all stay calm and trust this squad to deliver.

Bad day at the office and that's about it.

As the great Clive says... "The team will pick itself". If Nwaneri was good enough to start, he would. If he was good enough to get into the match day squad, he would. I personally believe a loan would be the best option for him to develop, but it's a risk nonetheless.

Arteta is likely apprehensive to loan anyone out with our injury record. I'm not saying he'd start ahead of either Ø or Eze, but if one of them gets injured Nwaneri is the only other similar profile from the bench, and if someone's having an 'off' game, that bench option can win matches.

My vote would be Bruce Rioch.

We've got 4 away games in 10 days so we'll definitely see some heavy rotation, I suspect we'll also see some players play way more minutes than we'd like as well. (Rice, Timber, Gabriel are my guesses)

It only serves as a vessel for ragebait, clickbait, and negativity now. Came off about a year ago and my experience watching the Arsenal matches has improved so much. It's a shame because there are still some really good memes to come from it, just not worth all the other dross.

31% of Villa's goals have been from long range compared to a league average of 14%. The fact of the matter is that they're outperforming their xG.

My point is that xG might not be a metric worth considering when it comes to Villa because they're simply just good at putting away chances.

Aston Villa are good at shooting outside the box. How is that a false narrative?
December 28, 2025 at 1:07 AM
Is it good fortune or have they just figured out that they have players that are really really good at shooting from outside the box?
December 27, 2025 at 7:46 PM
Giving Wolves far too much credit. They are shit and we need to actually get at them.

Seems like the sort of game Norgaard should be capable of keeping us ticking over. Maybe the idea is to score a couple early and take Rice off early in the second half. A lot of other changes too, the team needs some stability from the start.

Can take one of Saliba and Gabriel out and not expect much of a drop off. Take both out and the difference is stark.
November 30, 2025 at 5:02 PM
It's funny to me that other teams STILL don't see the value of set pieces or think of them as a cheap way to score goals. Long may it continue because that mindset will keep giving Arsenal a huge advantage.

Let's win it ugly.
November 4, 2025 at 7:51 PM
The longer it goes on the longer the players will want to keep it going, too. Gabriel was frothing at the mouth at the thought of a potential goal conceded.
