Agreed. As someone who thinks a number of movies COULD be a bit shorter, I’d be upset if Lawrence of Arabia, Alexander Nevsky, or Rocco and his Brothers were shortened to appeal to a lowest common denominator. Some movies have the substance and should run longer. Others (like Death in Venice)…
