What i think is that businesses in a capitalistic system try to maximize profit in whatever way they can.

Because capitalism is basically predatory. You see someone else charging higher prices and you do the same whether or not you "need" to because it's what the traffic will bear.

Which seems to lead to undermining the whole concept of an insurance risk pool. That's the key to the lowest possible cost but they are unwilling or unable to acknowledge it.

Just listened to Greg's podcast with the natsec attorney where she pretty clearly established that the whole boat strike operation is illegal and the US military is committing murder. However the question still is, and then what? How do the perpetrators get prosecuted?

Based on what I've read about Bradley, "smart and ethical." So you think he would have recognized that killing survivors is illegal and would not have done it, absent a direct order. If he did receive a direct order, he should have refused, as it was illegal, correct?

The question is, is it economic to do that? Reliability assets a lot of times are barely economic even if you have a robust capacity market. It would be interesting to compare the cost to the market of just building more storage vs keeping a bunch of idle gas plants around.
