Curious question: I subscribed last year, got the one where you get a gift subscription for someone and you get hard copy sent to your mail box as well. I’ve enjoyed the digital sub (as has my mom) but I never got a single copy. Where did it go awry?

…and doubly so when the “rules” don’t apply both ways.🤬 YOUR FEELINGS they said but demand feelings when the same problem befalls them; or when they say cancel culture is un-American but then want to cancel people/performers that they dislike; ok with ICE until it affects their families. 😡

I’ve seen four or five Chaplin films, branching off from being a huge fan of the Marx brothers. Chaplin is glorious, and I can’t believe that’s Uncle Fester as the titular character in The Kid!

The last two times I experienced an intermission at a movie theater were both Quentin Tarantino films. The Hateful 8 (runtime of 2:55) and more recently Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (4:35 which includes the 15 min intermission).

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully, if he leaves politics overall, he goes the Jimmy Carter route, based on his statement of waving to “focus on the work” as opposed to focusing on the election.

I knew a year before I got onboard. In 2011 (back when it was Crazy!) I was working for Holland America as shore staff. I heard about JoCo Cruise the week before it sailed. Went home and googled about it and decided I’d go next year (2012). I’m leaving out details because of space constraints.

they say “approximately 6 million” so already the number isn’t definitive; and how many were some sort of hyphenated Jewish? German-Jews, Polish-Jews; can we actually count that as straight up Jewish?

I work in walk-in freezers for part of my shift. It can be like 20° inside that thing and I’m good with a jacket. But if the fans come on? Oh hell no…

I do not believe in any Divine being. I have my moral code that tends to match up with most of those who believe and conduct myself accordingly. That should be enough to get into whatever heaven might be; if a lack of belief keeps me out, so be it. It would be a place I wouldn’t care to be. 🤷
