For the past 18 months, we've been putting the ends of our parmesan cheese blocks into the freezer. Tonight, I have added them all to a risotto (they'll be discarded before serving). Is this culinary gold, or just weird levels of thriftiness?

Yesterday, my tip to a young person dreading a meeting was 'have something to look forward to in your pocket' (literally or figuratively) She said the café near her house does great cookies and she'd get herself one of them. This morning, she presented me with a cookie from the café. Happy Friday!

I applaud #Costco for writing about #mentalhealth in their magazine. But this is a stretch! My rules for Costco, in case anyone cares
1) never go hungry
2) never go with kids
3) never go for more than 28 minutes
