As I have said before, there should be a 2:30 AM train.

Considering doing something unhinged and just going for a day and then staying up to get the first train back.

Maybe it’s time to go to New York for no real reason.

I’ve just been using the Fresh lip balms or some more-tinted Japanese ones.

Every time I try it, I look dead!!

Does Black Honey also not work on you?

It’s possible, but not likely, that EM Forster listened to the cast recording of Company.

you ever think about those real weird overlaps. like tennessee williams might have listened to the ramones

Nish is so bad at almost every task and then he’s so good at that that it makes me want to cry.

I’d argue that this is actually a family hobby.

I actually don’t (I’m a totally different size now than I was pre-breast reduction so I’ve gotten rid of a lot of my old stuff) but there’s a pretty good costume store in town.

I actually could pull off real Victorian much more easily.
harrietvane.bsky.social
Oh, I don’t think I’m going ACTUAL Victorian, I think I’m doing “a lot of people at this party are into romantasy” Victorian Gothic.
harrietvane.bsky.social
No because it’s *so* important that I look hot.

I was *obsessed* with this book as a kid and the other day I walked past a preschool that had it displayed in top of a bookshelf and I *gasped* so yeah, that’s correct.

the wave of weaponized nostalgia for 90s-style multiculturalism and political correctness is gonna hit different

Need something to wear to a Victorian Gothic Halloween party but all the costumes I already own are Star Trek themed.

We were listening to wedding trivia at one point and kept making jokes about wanting to play but like. We did not ACTUALLY GET A TRIVIA SHEET.

Just casually crashed wedding karaoke and didn’t even pretend!!
harrietvane.bsky.social
Finally, someone stands up and sings Viva La Vida and he’s pretty good! Everyone applauds the way you do for a wedding performance. And then the guy WALKS OUT OF THE WEDDING BANQUET BACK TO HIS TABLE AND THE NON-WEDDING PART OF THE RESTAURANT.

The other 1/3 is just regular tables for people to have dinner, and they’re all full, so we wind up sitting at the bar, and listening to the wedding party sing karaoke. There are different skill levels. We’re having a great time.

Listen, something amazing just happened. My friends and I went out to a Chinese restaurant in a local mall. It’s near an RMV, so we’ve all walked by it and it always looks good. We finally got it together to go this evening. We get there, and 2/3 of it is taken up by a wedding party.

The MBTA (Boston’s public transportation network) has autistic people making train announcements/sharing facts during autism acceptance month and I really love it because it feels like they asked people what they actually wanted instead of making a condescending guess.

Very similar to my experience celebrating Jewish holidays growing up.
