As a guy who spent a lot of time in Syria (Damascus, Al Qunaytirah, Latakia) during my UN deployment, and saw the oppression and fear of the locals first hand during the Assad reign, I wish the people of Syria the best. For all the 🇨🇦 idiots that say our rights and freedoms are suppressed just STFU.

Holiday reading has gone slightly awry with the realisation, one page in, that I have read Book No. 2 already. There are very few characters/suspects called Todd.

Yup, I have joined the growing number of people simply fed up with 'X' and its vitriol, violence and nastiness. Here's hoping #bluesky offers a more civil, sensible way of accessing information important to me. Always the optimist!
