An utterly shameful list of murderous, ecocidal, omnicidal acts by a government that loves to claim it cares

The strategy of trying to get Labor and the bureaucracy to act is an abject failure. Government is a failed institution, most clearly when it comes to climate.

Time to build the next system
Labor’s slate for fossil fuel approvals
The Albanese government has already approved 31 fossil fuel projects, and more than that are waiting, even as renewables overtake coal as the top source of electricity.

TBH, they are all gifts. I’ve never seen such an incompetent bunch of pollies ever. They’ve been completely fooled by Sky into pandering to a base that is diminishing and not likely to deliver them the power they crave

Venezuelana. Que bueno! Jajajaja!
harro93.bsky.social
Yep, this is so obvious a miss that it just highlights that they are not doing anything of substance. Just like on so many other issues 🤷🏼‍♂️

Trump has never seemed to know what is going on
harro93.bsky.social
Remember when people thought Albanese was just being cautious in his first term? Build political capital for real reform later. Then they annihilated the LNP to gain a second term and people thought he would start spending that capital

Instead he’s highlighted how bad the major parties have become
harro93.bsky.social
The two party system is no longer fit for purpose. We need to demand better by kicking them off the gravy train and voting for credible independents
harro93.bsky.social
Let’s stop voting for the major parties. They are a duopoly that we enable

Charlie Kirk. That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. Seems like everyone has moved on. Except politicians wanting to create fake culture wars.

Kirk was not Australian and not even a foreign politician. Why do we care. Why does she care more than she does about us?

Out now! Version 2.0.0 of the Global land surface meteorological observations dataset (1755–present) is available in the #C3S Climate Data Store (CDS). Updated in situ coverage thru 2024 plus enhanced and consolidated data from worldwide sources. 🔗 cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/ins...

So, disappointed with this government. It appears as if the major parties offer exactly the same by way of poor government and contempt for voters

The subheading makes sense when you accept that CNN is part of the regime

Is she too old for him now?

And one I’m very happy to share. This shouldn’t be done quietly 😃

She thinks elected officials should act like adults? Interesting

Australia is second only to the United States for the cost of extreme weather over the past 45 years, and every decade since 1980 has been costlier than the last.

Trump has never cared about anyone but himself. He does care about drug users, even American ones

Venezuela has a lot of oil, though
harro93.bsky.social
As this graph shows, 30 years of global action has not led to any emissions reductions

Also, not a competent administration anymore. Just so you know

Would not rule out Trump offering them an inducement. Too bad he never delivers

Do you think none of this would have happened if the Epstein Files didn’t exist? I kinda think it would have…

Or the one for economics for his brilliant tariffs. Beautiful word. Lovely. His favourite word after adolescent

Ah, yes. Calling on a country that has completely ignored international law for decades to, in this instance, obey international law. Brave move that should absolutely have an impact

An excellent point. We also waste a lot of energy, like leaving all the lights on in a skyscraper all night. For no reason at all
janrosenow.bsky.social
The Primary Energy Fallacy is the idea that all primary energy from fossil fuels must be replaced with equivalent amount of clean energy.

BUT: Not necessary because >2/3 of all primary energy is lost as waste heat.

Electrification+renewables are far more efficient.
