On day 8 of our Administration, @governor.ny.gov and I announced the beginning of universal childcare in NYC. No longer will New Yorkers be forced to choose between starting a family and continuing to live in the city they love. This only happened because of you.

Japan: Diarists have chronicled the comings and goings of cherry blossoms each year since A.D. 812

The 20-year average is on the steepest decline since records began, and has moved in perfect correlation with the age of burning fossil fuels

Another one of my charts of the year

Pedestrian fatalities reach 17-year-high. This trend could be why
Fifty-one pedestrians had been killed on the state’s roads this year as of Saturday – the most in any calendar year since 2008.
