On day 8 of our Administration, @governor.ny.gov and I announced the beginning of universal childcare in NYC. No longer will New Yorkers be forced to choose between starting a family and continuing to live in the city they love. This only happened because of you.

The world is a fiery mess, and my heart breaks
But my partner & I spent much of this week deeply immersed in nature, making friends furry, scaley & leafy, skinny dipping in rivers & bays & ocean, and the grief subsides.
If more of us got our kit off and jumped in the water, the world would improve

Yeah, sadly can confirm it’s a right wing populist trope here in Australia, too. Which, given we are one of the most urbanised countries on the planet, is particularly inane. “True blue Aussies in Akubra hats” nonsense.
