“The agents open the door, which unlocked automatically when she put the gearshift in park, they drag her out and force her to the ground. She said the agents were overly aggressive and physical as they pinned her down and handcuffed her, leaving her with multiple cuts, scrapes and bruises.”

So this means I don't have to hear any more bullshit from now on about how "we" should "just let the red states burn" to punish them or whatever, correct?

Correct???

When ICE murders you, how would you like the community to honor you? Vigil? Bike ride? Sit in? Something else?

this is what the gods invented the ring of fire for
Personally, I think that anyone who was sending friendly emails back and forth with Jeffrey Epstein or attending events with him post-2008 should be thrown into an active volcano.

-how do you figure?

Well, it’s very tidy.

-it certainly is devoid of indictments!
Do you have *any* Epstein Files for release?

J6 but this time the system is already not stopping rightwing crimes.

voters and volunteers and activist orgs are going to need to prepare to defend the results
i'm not worried they will cancel the election; with the results posting recently i'm not very worried they'll win a majority even if they do a good deal of suppression

i'm very worried abt what happens when they lose badly & don't want to seat the winners

this “chicago bail fund” and the entire network of newly registered bail funds are all scams. illinois made cash bail illegal in 2023 thanks to the incredibly hard work of many people, some of whom i know personally, so this is especially stupid
@forensicgarlic.bsky.social [@]chicagobailfund.bsky.social registered on Bluesky 20 days ago.

As did these "bail funds" for Boston, Seattle, and Portland.

Do you know if they are authentic?

idk the other followers. But could be sus also.

JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

i guess it helps that there were two republicans for some reason, but still. this is huge

the images are a 2022 and a 2026 voting map of the area. the 2022 map is dominated by red; the 2026 map is dominated by blue.

that's one hell of a shift. in deep red texas.

‼️‼️ Still a lot TBD, but Rehmet is leading early vote count by **13 POINTS** in a district that Trump won by 17 points. I'll be updating in this thread throughout the night.
ICYMI: This Saturday, progressive Taylor Rehmet squares off against a billionaire-funded Christian nationalist for a +17 Trump state senate seat in Tarrant County, a hub of the far right. Rehmet already over-performed, and is confident he’s on the verge of a stunning upset in a bellwether county.
In Tarrant County, a Hub for the Far Right, a Democrat Seeks a Major Upset
In a runoff election for Texas Senate District 9, which has not elected a Democrat since 1991, Taylor Rehmet is betting his pro-labor message can flip disillusioned voters.

‼️‼️‼️‼️ Per reporters on scene, Leigh Wambsganss has shut down her party. She hasn't conceded to Taylor Rehmet yet, but apparently told supporters that “we’ll be back in November.”
Hard to overstate how big a deal a Rehmet win would be. Tarrant County is the epicenter of Christian nationalism in Texas, an incubator for far-right policies, and nexus of billionaire Tim Dunn's network, which is riding hard for Wambsganss. Rehmet almost entirely funded by donations of $100 or less
