Thank you for supporting your communities. Noticed a person you were serving was masked -this means they could be high-risk and/or trying to protect themselves/others. When you see a mask, wear a mask. Matching safety precautions goes a long way 😷
Combatting poverty and hunger in this city will take every single one of us. Myself included.

There is literally no reason for this party to exist.
Alberta's New Democrats know what it takes to get big projects done.

We built TMX because we did the hard work.

It's time for everyone to roll up our sleeves and get it done.

Carney jamming another pipeline through our beautiful province isn't just bad energy policy - it's bad health policy. Climate health is population health.

More fossil fuels mean more PM2.5, more heart disease, more lung disease, even dementia. Not to mention the excess deaths from extreme heat

Yes, this is correct. And the reason is because our capitalist classes have decided that it is not sufficiently profitable, so they're not going to do it.

We must understand this reality. Capital *cannot* be relied upon to address the climate crisis.

"The good news is that these policies are highly popular and can form the basis of a winning political platform. Democratic socialism is a viable path — indeed, the only path — to a safe and just future."

Can Socialism Solve the Climate Crisis?
Governments globally are failing to combat climate change because they prioritise profit over the planet — for real change, the capitalist mode of production must be overhauled.

1/ Mark Carney has betrayed all of us by making a pipeline pact with Danielle Smith. A real nation-building project would expand the renewable energy of the future while creating thousands of jobs - powerlines not pipelines.

I'm not interested in "I told you so."

A lot of people voted Liberal because they were terrified of Poilievre and his gang. I get that.

But Carney's who we got, he's being a weak leader, pushing policies that are harming the vast majority of us and it's time to just admit he sucks and push back.

Steven Guilbeault resigned from Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cabinet Thursday in a dramatic renunciation of the government’s new deal to support oil-rich Alberta’s proposal for a major pipeline to the west coast, a senior government source confirmed to the Star.

Given how isolated many Covid aware people are right now, my patience is thin for folks with built-in offline support systems trying to police how others use online spaces.

Definitely something wrong with our healthcare system. However, beware the easy non-solution of "just privatize it!"
"Ontario recorded the highest number of wait-list deaths: 10,634, including more than 9,100 diagnostic-scan deaths where patients died before reaching the point of receiving or being scheduled for surgery."

I guess it's not "hallway healthcare" if you never make it to the hospital hallway.

Virtual health is also a great way to reduce risk of re-infections which we know can lead to deterioration. Seeking healthcare shouldn't come with the risk of leaving the appointment with a new Covid-infection.
