I’ve seen posters promoting Patient Safety Week around my hospital and I just…I mean we aren’t even wearing surgical masks. So like what are we doing here.
lol it’s once again Canadian Patient Safety Week and yet hospitals and healthcare facilities and leadership across Canada all pretend that COVID is not predominantly airborne, which causes vast harm to patients because effective protections are not in place.

The Deporter-in-Chief finally chimes in. Fun fact: under Obama, ICE and Border Patrol’s budgets exploded, dozens died in detention, and over 3,000 people were killed at the border by the bipartisan policy of “prevention through deterrence.”
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

It's amazing how many people see the law as a fixed, permanent thing. More schools should assign civics projects where students attempt to trace how the legality of something has changed over the last century. It'd encourage them to recognize there's no such thing as permanence in legal doctrine.
