Middle left panel, the fish is wrapped in leaves. Middle panel, an elderly elf woman places a lid on the box of food. Middle right panel, the elderly woman wraps the box with a green patterned cloth. Bottom panel, the elderly woman looks over her shoulder at a young girl. "Take those buns out to your cousins and the workers, Shinshu. I'll finish wrapping these up." "Okay Oba." An illustration of three siamese rats surrounded by red poppies done in an art nouveau style. An illustration of a woman with exposed neck and rib bones and disembodied, floating hands. Three beta type fish are swimming around her, and she is gently caressing one. She has curly dark hair mixed with bright blue stripes. She is surrounded by blue anemone flowers. An illustration of a Dungeons and Dragons character. They are a purple skinned Firbolg with white hair holding onto a bright green drake. They have large, round glasses and a bow at their back. The drake has his tongue out in a blep.

I had wondered myself about that one, it just felt "off" and that would explain it.

Time to do that scary thing of "Look at yesterday's coloring to make sure it's actually good"

Thankfully I stopped when I couldn't focus my eyeballs anymore, but uh...I'm nervous.

If you haven't watched the Jane Goodall special, I highly recommend it. She was SUCH a kick of a woman, and it was all done in a REALLY respectful way.

Then of course that last bit all by herself, yeah that made me cry.

Portland is the land of people who are so used to Weird Shit that we've become incredibly good at weaponizing said weird.

The house is currently taking bets on whether they have to pull up our sidewalk, and whether they pull that stupid tree.

Honestly, if they'll pay for it, we'll take both.

We've learned in the past couple days that we're living right on top of a major neighborhood underground utilities hub.

We've also learned that the horrible pear tree, that the city won't let us cut down, is not only jacking the sidewalk, but making it extremely difficult for the workers.

I met @kikidoodle.bsky.social when she posted about needing a helper at Maker's Fair like, YEARS ago.

Not only did I get to meet Gandalf and Archimedes, (Or was it Pig, could be wrong) but Kiki introduced me to a big group of local artists who I'm still very fond of.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Don't you just LOVE when a doctor does the "Huh, that's weird."

I've had pretty much every specialty say it at least once at this point.

We're having tuna steaks for dinner, and Finn is VERY offended that we're not giving him any.

So much yelling

I always, ALWAYS send invoices, but I have GOT to find something better than Paypal. This shit is ridiculous and should be illegal.

This is a warning to every artists and clients using PayPal: Leave the note blank or send invoices. Apparently even saying "commission" makes them trigger happy. #SaveSpeech #StopPaypros

And continue the pressure by calling PayPal. Helpful link here: anti-censorship-campaign.carrd.co#phonescript
@Inker_comics: I JUST GOT FUCKED UP REAL BAD [shared a screenshot of his suspension from PayPal]

@MrQuessos: [quote tweeting @Inker_comics] If you are going to pay an artist via PayPal, please DO NOT include ANYTHING related to commission or nsfw in the payment description. Whether out of ignorance or innocence, you could screw up someone's job. Mastercard

Grief is such a windy, twisty path that you find yourself on over and over again. Hopefully you come out of the trees to the sun again.

This is a gorgeous, nuanced take by Oatmeal on the whole reason AI art feels...gross.

But also, this is my favorite panel
A panel from a comic by The Oatmeal, of a giant, amorphous blob of rat with a helicopter rotor on it's back, menacingly hovering as small people run screaming. The black text balloons read: "Do not fear RatCopter. RatCopter is here to bring u juicy rat goodness."

I fuckin love watching people play that game, it brings out the Goblin in everyone.

It's probably for the best I haven't played it, I know I would be the annoying trumpet player.

Cursing an ingrown though is a hell of a good curse, tbh

I think so? Young skinny guy, likes to walk up to abandonded looking houses and offer to do it for free. Nicest guy.
