These dudes are the reason I saw a few movies (like WIZARDS) when I was a wee bit too young. They're the reason I played GTA at one point. These dudes in their 30s were happy to hang out with a snotty kid like a bunch of Sudden Uncles.

Seeing them was like getting to see my dad again.

My dad lived like, an hour away for work (this is before they were married, and FYI, not my bio dad), and my mom worked nearby. So it was much easier for Mom of 2 to bring a sick kid there for the day, where she could check on me during lunch.

It probably is. I know Xbox replaced almost ALL of their support agents with AI recently, would not surprise me if Nintendo did the same.

Honestly, I'd just send it over to Nintendo. Much less hassle, probably similar costs.

Oh I feel you on the clumsy. I've had two controllers break on me now between frenzied button pushing and how often I drop the damn things.

So yeah, sounds like the connectors in the side rails are out. You can send it to Nintendo for repairs, or get the parts online and do it yourself.
