ending the TPS for Myanmar is an unmitigated humanitarian disaster which will end up sending people to torture and probable death.
This is really concerning. The Junta in Myanmar will arrest, conscript or kill many of those the US may return.
We honestly cannot understand how the US admin can say the situation in Myanmar is improving when ALL EVIDENCE IS TO THE CONTRARY.
🚨"The Trump administration announced it will cancel temporary asylum for around 10,000 #Myanmar nationals living in the US, despite the country being ruled by a military dictatorship that has a record of executing dissidents."

Emmanuel walked away from his mom’s fruit stand to find a bathroom. She looked for him all over Houston, and after several hours, she filed a missing person’s report with Houston PD. Houston firefighters found him within 24 hours. But police turned him over to ICE, who held him captive for 48 days.
Emmanuel, a 15-year-old with intellectual disabilities, wandered away from his mom’s fruit stand in October.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.

I’m consistently amazed my how many brands make great 28mm hollow fiber filters and then ship them with water bags that absolutely could not be any worse and make using the product a nightmare.

This is inevitable with Axios’ insider journalism always first to press model that is made for social media clicks and leads to deeply irresponsible reporting
Chaos and lies in US diplomacy & media: Marco Rubio now denies the US had any input into the savage 28-point ultimatum to Ukraine - says it's from Russia. But Axios reporters Barak Ravid and David Lawler, who got the leak, claimed it was written by the US, by Steve Witkoff and... Marco Rubio! 1/

On any given day, thousands of adults are detained in remote facilities in Arizona solely because of their immigration status. The vast majority don’t have an attorney and are forced to represent themselves in immigration court, severely impacting their chances to win their case.

These people were forced into remote desert ‘camps’—promised they’d be arrested and deported if they left—but given no food, shelter, water, or medical treatment except what the local community of a few hundred folks gave out of charity.

Two years ago tonight we were setting up dumpster dived pink tents for migrants in the freezing cold and wind in the desert, they were held there for days without food water or shelter other than what we could share with them. That was the Biden admin, in case anyone thinks it was all good before.

I’m not sure how one could pull this off alone, this seems very suspect.

It seems possible Mr Ge came through jacumba (I don’t recall being aware of people crossing closer to tecate). I remember lots of Chinese folks arriving the days before he was booked by BP.
This is beyond horrific.

ICE is responsible for the well-being of people in immigration detention and it is failing that responsibility miserably. Mr. Ge’s loved ones and the American people need answers immediately. www.newsweek.com/ice-detainee...

In a lot of cases, clinical trials might be the only way for a child to survive a fatal childhood disease, or keep someone from dying from a form of cancer that doesn’t have any other options, etc. We tend to think of “trials” as novel experiments, but they’re often much more than that.

This is absolutely the case. The act of becoming a refugee or seeking asylum can, in and of itself, make return to one's home country dangerous.
Fundamental issue here is that countries are neither safe or unsafe. It is people who are safe or unsafe in countries. Simply declaring a country safe is not logical, at least until we know all people in it will be safe.

And to be clear, the six reported injuries were nosebleeds, which is what happens when you have barotrauma.

I’ve been asking since June, if a passenger is handcuffed and the handcuffs are attached to a chain around their waists, can they even reach up to grab their masks? Seems like no.
😲 CONFIRMED: “an Avelo ICE flight declared an emergency when the cabin lost pressure, according to air traffic control transmissions. The plane made a rapid descent and landed safely. Of 88 people on board, six were injured…”

I'm guess Border Patrol goons are allowed to operate in Charlotte because it's within 100 miles of the South of the Border rest stop on I-95? I can't think of any real border that's close by

Im glad its raining, we need it. But also just over an inch of rain totally shuts down our city and causes flooding because we spent all our money on real estate grift and lampposts that are spies
A lot of daily rainfall records fell Saturday, inlcuding in San Diego. The monthly total for the city is up to 1.42 inches, making this the wettest November since 2019, when 2.72 was recorded. Normal for all of November is 0.79. More rain is expected this week. #sandiegoweather #CAwx

A few people have asked me about the garmin inreach in the new fenix. It’s not an inreach, it uses Skylo geostationary satellites, these are going to be much less reliable than the iridium network.

I wouldn’t suggest relying on it, get the inreach mini, I’ve used it all over the world.
