Another very forgettable episode.
Feels like plotline pulled out of a random plot generator.
Wish we’d seen more conflict with Lisa when Marge begins cutting down trees instead of just one throwaway line, could’ve been interesting

Lack of genuine story structure continues to be a major problem of S31
Kinda enjoyed Homer buying the boat even if it definitely feels like a random clutching at straws plot
Bart & Lisa freeing the animals could’ve been interesting but was underbaked

A mixed bag that lacks the genuine scares of the best TOH entries
Maggie opening was best bit, wish it was longer than 2 minutes
Stranger things parody was fine but felt vague
The next segment was awful nonsense
Shape of water parody was just ok

Another forgettable ep that has a decent idea but meh execution.
I like the idea of focusing on Fat Tony & Wiggum but it just wasn’t funny or interesting enough to leave an impression.

This one had an interesting premise that easily could’ve worked however the intern character feels annoying and we never get a real reason that he idolises Homer & ending feels rushed.
There was a couple of cool dream sequences moments & a handful of fun gags though

For modern Simpsons standards, the S31 opener is fine. A competent enough and distractingly amusing episode. John Mulaney is wasted as unfunny & cringeworthy guest character.
Lisa’s detention B-plot had potential but is sadly underwritten.
