Tapestry,cross-stitch bookmarks! Does any kind sewing expert know when these 'templates' became available, please - or how old these might be? Just found in box with 1860s Bible- but I think they're newer.Possibly my grandmother's (died early 1970s) or my aunt's (died early 1960s).Thank you! #sewing

Quite unreal that Tony Harrison has gone. A poet (as he termed himself) of complete conviction, percussive and passionate and someone who lit the way and made a deeply important and lasting space for others. May he and his legacy go well. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/s...
Tony Harrison, poet and dramatist, dies aged 88
Known for his outspoken politics, the author was acclaimed for work in theatre, opera, film and TV but wanted to be thought of as a poet above all

Also remember John Lennon’s plaque that has the words of his Aunt Mimi on it…

Sorry that this happened to you, Alina. You are not alone. Plenty of incredible writers have been subject to the same diatribes and interrogations. Sometimes too, family needs their own way to process what you do. Some even end up apologising for their past behaviour.

And so it was so wonderful to see these people, who had been working on Huntington's their whole careers, weep for joy that someone ELSE HAD DONE IT.

They did not care someone else did it first.

They cared that it WORKED. They remembered we are all in this together.

In reporting this piece on the new trial for a Huntington's treatment, I was struck by one thing in particular:

The joy.

One of my sources wept for joy. He has spent his entire career studying this disease, he said it was the happiest day. www.sciencenews.org/article/hunt...
Huntington's progression slowed by experimental gene therapy
An experimental gene therapy slowed Huntington’s by up to 75 percent in a small clinical trial. While not a cure, it may give patients longer lives.
