So let me explain something to people who forgot how the US used to work. Presidents could not direct the FBI nor the DoJ what to do. Every president since Nixon was very careful to keep the DoJ at arm’s length, so big coverups during this era were things of fictional airport novels.

I remember she was offered the sister role or something in Streets of Fire and she convinced the director to let her play the role of the sidekick Cody, a role meant for a man. She simply ignored gender stereotypes.
