"Personality predates ideology- so before you were a fascist you were a bully and an asshole"

At least you found a way to get rid of all the excess fluff inside. In exchange for some new tackiness obviously.

Trumps withdrawal of funds has been estimated by the IRC to cost 25 million lives over the next 15 years. Local resilience is key, but starving people while they establish their systems is diabolical.

A paper by IRC estimated 25 million deaths over the next 15 years due to the dropping of USAID.

The validated tests are easy for me to find, and if anyone is going to sit a test without a guardian and not cheat- it'll be the autistic people. I'm wired to do the test properly!

The issue isn't that there aren't any DEI officers. The issue is that the plan was to remove them. If that post doesn't exist she'll just move onto removing the actual policies.

Yeah, but injury to neck does not automatically mean carotid artery involvement. So it's a bit more nuanced than neck=carotid= death

This is a clamshell thoracotomy (on a mannequin) and it's the pre-hospital fix if we can't get you to the surgeon in time. From arrival on scene I can probably have your heart in my hands within 3mins if all goes smoothly. You don't want that.

So- to be a nerd: Lots of people saying go for the neck or groin. Civilian and military data shows those wounds are very survivable because you can apply direct pressure. Central stab wounds are incompressible and surgery is the only fix. Central stabs are the ones we worry about.

But you can stop a femoral artery bleed fairly easily. Central stab wounds are buggers because you can't stop the bleeding in the street unless you open the chest- and that brings along a whole new set of issues, being opened like a clamshell being the first.

You're not wrong, those are the best targets, but when you watch stabbings happen (I get to review attacks as part of my role) they invariably go for centre mass- plus you can stop a bleed in the neck or groin, but to stop one in the chest we have to open you up in the street like a clamshell. 🔪
