VOA’s press freedom reporter Liam Scott was terminated on March 16. Reinstated by court order in April. Terminated again on May 8.

@liamjscott.bsky.social is not the only one.

Since May 6, USAGM has been issuing termination letters to journalists and staff hired as personal service contractors.

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to "restore VOA programming such that USAGM fulfills its statutory mandate that VOA serve as a consistently reliable and authoritative source of news."
