Systematic reviews can very quickly become outdated. Living systematic reviews (LSRs)—which continuously integrate new evidence—offer a solution, but their adoption has been limited to date.

I use LLMs from time to time when trying to solve issues in R. In this case, LLMs can be useful if you have a good idea about what to do and rough idea of what to expect.

But today I came across my first instance of a *function* hallucination—it simply made up a function from an R package!

Using 4570 longitudinal MRIs + 1684 Aβ PET scans from cognitively healthy older adults @jamesmroe.bsky.social find cortical thickness changed ≥7 years before PET-detectable Aβ. Those who later developed high Aβ already had thicker cortex & less thinning.
