If i were to stick to AM4 i was thinking to go either R7 5700x3D or R9 5950x and whatever latest NVIDIA GPU is out currently. I'm by no mean in a rush to decide just want to get some feedback on what would be the better option.

It runs most things comfortably but it has start to show its age as of recent and that should be a given after 4+ years of use. I'm really asking here is would just upgrading my CPU + GPU while still be on AM4 be okay or at this point just switch over to AM5.

The setup was build in 2020 before the lockdown (got really lucky) and has been with me through thick and thin and being the most reliable PC I've had as a first build.

To give some context I run with a R7 3700x w/ a 2080 super. 32GB of ram on 3600mhz, all on a X570 Mobo. trying to debate whether to go one or the other and I'm boiling down my decision making to cost and future proofing.

I'm often one to forget to do that when I'm locked in to whatever I'm doing. Already made it a goal to improve my overall health so this be more motivation to work towards that.

I'm glad I have the PT I have rn and help me greatly with the hours I've put but with winter happening and basically being told that things are being cut back, I'm not the only person looking around and its a scramble.

Did what i can do in my means to apply and stand out and really gotten 1 interview since graduating. I basically lost track of the # but I'm confident its around 2-300 applications I've submitted.
