Supposedly, it came from Perry Bible and wasn't attached to its common meaning at the time.

'weeb' is often more about "Thing I don't care about / like" than anything else. You don't see people being called one when the interest is considered socially acceptable.

There's two bits of writing I'm forcing myself to finish at the moment, only because the timing is right for them. For some reason, I can still draw and work on music, but working on words: I don't have it in me in the moment.

I think as a form of narrative flow and shift, as a demarcation point, they can be interesting. It really depends on use and application.

If people like seeing it because that's what the character does, then more power to them. For me it can get tiring that, but I'm the "do things with it" type.
