My son’s school was very invested in social/emotional learning. The kids ended up with vocabulary to talk about bullying. It did not eliminate bullying! But it empowered kids to address it.

I had this same thing happen!! And had to wait weeks for brain scans, so had the fun possible-tumor interlude

We used to find things in our building’s lobby like vacuums that needed a new belt being thrown out because it was “broken”. My MOM knew how to change a belt on her Hoover, and she is not mechanically inclined at all.

Both my degrees are in printmaking with a side of book arts and papermaking (also a comment that makes people’s eyes glaze over) but in the past 20 years…sculptures of paper, recycled materials and now textile wall works?

What’s your medium? It’s not a simple answer (for me). What someone usually wants to hear is “watercolors” or “carving marble”
