No discernible logic in neither posting or following.

The deeper you look into the social media, the deeper the social media will look into you.
In a very hypothetical alternative reality where private capital raising would not have been possible, only states and kings would have been able to finance new industries. Maybe not even them, as the ability of most states to collect taxes ran persistently behind their expenses.

Joint stock company made the industrial revolution possible, not the other way around. (Brad DeLong made this conclusion in "Shuffling Towards Utopia"). The necessary capital outlays could not have been gathered without risk-sharing capital from individuals.

The people who are winning invariably regard the competition as fair, the people who are losing always consider it unfair.

That's the very definition of subjective. Quantifying depends on whose numbers you collect.

There are egregious outliers like Standard Oil, but most cases are grey zone.

Ihan normaalia inhimillistä toimintaa. Kaikkea ei voi ohjata vaikka olisi kuinka hyvä strategia.

"Flood the zone with s**t" eli Steve Bannonin originaaliohje on sekin strategia, ja tähän saakka ihan toimiva sellainen. Se että onko se Suuren Suunnitelman korvaaja vai piilottaja on toinen juttu.

Tbf, another way defense deals resemble AI deals is that the headline number and actual realized cashflow are very different things.

Last up on our daily batch of free articles:

For two decades, Google Search was the invisible force that determined the ebb and flow of online content. Now, for the first time, its cultural relevance is in question.

The end of the Googleverse
The last 25 years of Google’s history can be boiled down to a battle against the Google bomb. Is the search engine finally losing to its hijackers?

Oh, and make it possible to change labels into Finnish. A ton of teachers would use this. Much better than anything in the stupid online study materials they use today.

Or a data update (now it's 2021 numbers)?

Being a naive non-coder, I assume this could be fairly easily updated so that it could pull the necessary economic data from the internet for any year in the modern times?

I often despair at how often the concepts of "the economy" and public finance get mixed up. That's one reason I made this: hahmota.fi/economymap/
Economy Map
The Economy Map provides an overview of a country's economy.

Liikenneympäristökin on muuttunut. Yhä useammassa autossa on superkirkkaat led-valot, katumaastureissa vielä 140 sentin korkeudessa, mikä johtaa taajamaliikenteessä siihen että yhä useampi liikenteessä liikkuja näkee varsinkin sateessa lähinnä "tähtisumua".

Lo and behold, incentives work: We get more of what we consume and reward.

Isn't this kind of like Hogarth for the 21st century?

Love the fan in the stands who's only able to yell the Finnish all-purpose greeting "Mitä vittua!".

A joint stock company is the vehicle that made modernity possible. Some form of contractually enforced risk-sharing has emerged everywhere people have traded in larger quantities.

The line between what is "competition" and what is "unfair competition" is extremely subjective.

Now there's a jolly stirring slogan:
"Deport the foreigners, leave more room for native-born sexual predators!"

I am sure you have a better source on the date than me, but I've thought both KV prototypes made their appearance in February 1940 on the Karelian Isthmus. Finnish sources say that they were almost able to capture a KV-2 that got stuck on a tree stump, but were unable to move it before recapture.

Militaries are not immune to fashion, no matter how hard they try to camouflage the fact.

But I am impressed by the effect movies have had on trigger discipline. Even zonked-out child soldiers in Central Africa are rarely seen with a round chambered, safety off and finger on the trigger anymore.

That may not matter, if they do financially well enough for long enough.

A joint stock company is by design meant to be a going concern without an expiration date, but that does not mean it is always intended to live forever.

There are also companies that treat customers well, and then go under.
