I used to think this sounded like the coolest, most arcane, mysterious and secret history and then I learned, uh. Real history. Which was less a disappointment (after about 5 minutes) and more interesting, tbh.

That was the fail point for my Surface also. Luckily, I was able to purchase one from Best Buy half an hour before they closed (the night before I flew out of town!!), but an earlier purchase would not have gone amiss

So many, right? I'm on NewEgg staring at Lenovo ThinkPads and MS Surfaces. (Laptops. Portability!) I've had bad experiences with HP and Dell just cutting out after 2 years before and my Surface is slowly going only after 6 years. Mom's Lenovo is pretty strong after about 7, so...
