Last week I participated in in 3 CBCs in N. IL. Total of 58 species were seen. Only brought camera for one count and only a few bird shots were taken.

Xmas Bird Counts
Last week I participated in in 3 CBCs in N. IL. Total of 58 species were seen. Only brought camera for one count and only a few bird shots were taken.

A lone Red-tailed Hawk was the only migrant.
An inversion layer created a Fata Morgana effect along the horizon this morning. The mirage distorted towers and buildings appeared where there were none.

A lone Red-tailed Hawk was the only migrant.
