I think these rankings/methodologies are ridiculously subjective and fairly nebulous, but if perceived value is increased that can only help raise trade values, making trading prospects for realized/past value easier. Surprisingly no direct mention of Eldridge or even indirect mention of Hernandez.

Agreed, but the trade for Trent not withstanding, the first round is where you get starting LTs, which they will need soon. Interior OL can be found in later rounds or FA.

Gotta disagree. Niners have one lineman good enough to pass and run block. The other four have deficiencies, some of them severe. There were no holes opening this year. All year. That’s the line, not the backs. McCaffery made what he could of the mess. Blaming CMC’s juice level is shortsighted.

Very true. Draft OL, especially T!!!!! Look at FA IOL. Pass rush will improve with return of Bosa and Williams, but draft and FA are both in play here, as well.

I wouldn’t say ridiculous. He’s a huge lottery ticket. I find it doubtful the Pirates, with their dearth of talent, didn’t have others they could and should have cut instead. The O’s, maybe not.

They don’t want him on the 40-man, so he have to be waived and choose to return. I’d take him on a minor league contract. That said, the 3 DFAs in a month seem to indicate that the stories of him not being a hard worker may have some truth to them.
