Didn't Victor Orban say he would leave EU, or was it NATO if Ukraine joined. DO IT.

Still can't grasp how or why it's ok for an MP to host a TV programme which spouts right wing propaganda, continually

Something else to remind him of along with Farage Boats

Competition Regulator? There’s no competition, it’s a Monopoly for each water company.

Govts need to learn lobbying is done to support vested interests. Get independent advice from elsewhere. Carbon Capture Storage is another red herring.

Are these people uber wealthy and NEVER use or have had to use the NHS in any form? Batshit crazy stupid talk. If you don’t pay ‘em, they won’t work for NHS. You’ll need addition 150k work visas

unlike @mc00.bsky.social I suggest starting with +60's is insulting. Consider many in their 60's have only just reached retirement age and likely involved in social media through their children growing up, now in their late 30's early 40's. Perhaps the 75+ might be a more appropriate demographic.

It'd be great if Mar a Lago was severely punished by a cyclone. Dont some MAGA believe scientists control the weather? If only they did.

Unfortunately Reform dominated Council and it is widely known Reform promotes hatred of any non-white British. It's a licence for bastards to behave like bastards

A weird time to be a historian of multiculturalism, who grew up in Birmingham as one of a handful of white kids at school, who has also written a book on Handsworth. My thoughts on Robert Jenrick’s unabashed racism in @thenewworldmag.bsky.social

What Robert Jenrick doesn’t understand about Birmingham
I was one of a handful of white kids at my school in the city. It enriched my life and worldview

He’s linking critique of his statement with likelihood of terrorist attacks? Barking!

7 of 9 planetary boundaries now crossed, most shockingly so. Only Planetary conditions human population has known and been conducive for our food production permitting population growth, is being destroyed by the very species requiring it for existence. Fcking stupidity of actions.

There are reasons for some areas with large ethnic populations. Why do Tories think every brown or black face needs a corresponding white one to prove diversity Integration? Great answer in Quora on Bradford and ethnic minority areas of the city which is very positive www.quora.com/What-is-the-...
What is the reason for the large Indian population in Bradford?
Answer (1 of 2): I moved to Bradford in 2004, a few years after the riots from another Northern town called Radcliffe. Radcliffe, back in the Victorian era was the paper making capital of the world, c...

In the early 2010s it was infuriating to see endless screeds on "legitimate concerns" against East Europeans from analysts and scholars who seemed oblivious to how the moment political leaders capitulated to this xenophobia it would just lead to escalating hatemongering against other diasporas

It was inevitable that “too many people speaking Polish” Brexitism would become outright “too many brown people”

And it’s what people like Gove, David Davis and Johnson enabled

We’ve just crossed 7 of the 9 planetary boundaries, what the fxck are we intentionally doing to this world?

Just heard discussion on R4Today. Interesting all stems from Trump & global overproduction. Trump! FaRage’s hero.

#climatechange #planetaryboundaries As of this month 7 of the 9 planetary boundaries have been crossed. The only ones not are Stratospheric Ozone Depletion & Atmospheric Aerosol Loading. We’ve just crossed Ocean Acidification. What the fxck are we doing? www.stockholmresilience.org/news--events....

Food is too cheap. We want fewer chemicals, high standards for animals. Drive to keep low price disadvantages farmers. Governments could choose to do something different, perhaps linked to Universal Credit and similar. Those who can afford would pay the true cost of production.

There was a drive to get English people to work on farms which failed? To an extent it’s understandable and not necessarily down to Can’t be Arsed. Farms remote from towns, no frequent bus service, no trains, workers got to get back to collect kids from school?

They just swallowed the lie which they were told would bring back the hay days of fishing. No foreign vessels in UK waters, no red tape to export to Europe, don’t worry lads everything will be fine, you trust me don’t you? I’m one of you.
hawksland.bsky.social
Agreed to an extent however, it must be remembered fishermen were sold a big lie by Farage & Johnson. Exporting live fish to Europe has reduced dramatically & fishing licences sold to the biggest companies. m.youtube.com/watch?v=XXA1...

Did the local towns never think of the impact Brexit would have on farming, on farmers ability to export, on the harvesting of crops? Silly question I suppose, they can’t have done.
hawksland.bsky.social
I think all University towns voted Remain. Greater Lincolnshire, overwhelmingly rural with farmers reliant on a migrant workforce voted Leave. I think that same area is now Reform. The same guy who pushed for Brexit. You couldn’t make it up
