I can see it now - this is the future of news. 24/7 rage/click bait based on a platform of “journalists” “interviewing” or “debating” with AI-powered straw men. Why stop there though? Why not just cut out the middleman and have an AI powered “journalist” ask the questions too?

I’m willing to bet that McKinsey will be the first and quickest casualty of AI.

To be fair, end-to-end encryption isn't ruined - thankfully Apple didn't cave - only the UK's access to it is ruined. I applaud Apple for not caving. Shame on the UK government though.

Apple (and other companies) are not going to pass up on profits and pricing consistency. All companies will pass the cost on to consumers exactly this way.
