Debian trixie is at it's .2 release now so thought it was time to upgrade my desktop computers at home and at work. All good apart from the usual NIS & NFS throwing a hissy fit on my work computer which happens every time, it sorted itself out after just waiting a while for the initial reboot.

I've been replaying Command&Conquer: Tiberian Sun for the first time since the early 2000s after I found out I can run it on my Macbook using WINE. Love those bomber helicopters.

I cleaned my keyboard keys in my ultrasonic cleaner and put them on a car drying towel. It looks like someone has ran over Wordy from Look&Read

Weekend in the Lake District. Visited the Retro-Zone Museum in Keswick. Lots of toys & computers from the 80s. Lot of stuff that me & my sister had as kids. Great to look around and chat with the staff and other people in there about Sinclair computers, the best Amiga games.

I thought Etsy was just for arts and crafts stuff but turns out it's ok for car parts too.
3d printed headlight adjusters fitted to the Corrado so the headlights aren't flapping around anymore. The smashed up bits are the remains of the old adjusters, one of them crumbled to pieces completely.

Some recent work on the polo g40 restoration. Bottom end built up and fixing up wiring looms ready to rewrap. Had to do the looms in the front room because no room in the garage, Gemma not impressed but at least I'm not in the garage.

Last day of holiday in Salou. My five year old son enjoyed some karting yesterday. Going to look into doing it regularly next year when he's six, local track does intro sessions for six year olds. Do we have the next Lewis Hamilton on our hands 😂

Replaying some of my favourite levels in Syndicate Wars last night. I think it's the best in the Syndicate series. Many will disagree and say the first is the best but I think this one just captured a Blade-Runner feel with the visuals and music perfectly.

I'm Dangerous.
Probably as far as I'll get for a long time on Frontier Elite II. I;m going to try some assassination missions though.
I've enjoyed getting into this on the Amiga and the original Elite on the ZX Spectrum. Missed them both back in the day.

this lives on the wall in my office. It's a real one, the board is removed and doesn't work, it will get fixed one day. The case is just stuck on with double sided tape so hasn't been damaged.

Why does everything have to be a youtube video these days, I miss good old written how-to guides I could follow at MY pace and not having to watch someone waffling on about why they've made a video for ten minutes before getting to anything actually useful.

The drummer for the band Blondie, he also played with Pete Townshend, Iggy Pop to name a few.
I've been a fan of Blondie since being a kid. I love Clem's drumming on this track, just look at him go:
