I would also make the argument that the judge hasn't done a proper trial for likely YEARS by the time Spirit of Justice started, so he's probably been bored out of his mind. I'd like to imagine he lets bullshit slide from both of them as long as he gets to enjoy the show

My grief with Dual Destinies is that it did the business thing where it sees one of its stories do poorly and its response is to take the safest path. Trucy becomes a minor character and most of the changes in Phoenix's life from AJ get completely bulldozed over.
