Since becoming established in 2023, in partnership with Binx's Home for Black Cats, we've found loving homes for over 500 cats.

All of us who saw the movie were entranced. Truly, if you are an animal or nature enthusiast and get a chance to see this film, do it!

The animation is simply gorgeous. And the main animal characters--a black cat, a capybara, a lemur, a large white bird that resembles a Secretary bird, and a dog--are incredibly well-depicted. The cat behavior and reactions were impeccable.

It's an animated feature film, and contains not a single word, at least not one by a human or in any human language.

For us, it hit really close to home with the recent devastating flood that WNC experienced. The lead character is a black cat. Naturally this caught our attention and we simply had to go see it.

Patina & Bowie became fast friends. After a few months, it became obvious that they were now bonded & would need to adopted together. Two cats with unique needs make it much harder to find the right home for them. And yet, today, they went to the perfect family.

Bowie was in the rescue for 19 mos, and a resident of the lounge for nearly 15 mos. Her socialization was a labor of love.

Patina came to us in February. Her age & congenital abnormalities are likely what contributed to her being turned out & ending up in a local colony.
