For some, Tesla is synonymous not only with EVs, but also with why they think EVs are unaffordable, exclusive, and not for people like them. Are Tesla's troubles an opportunity for EVs - which are becoming increasingly diverse and affordable - to change their image to be more inclusive?

The tech bro image sold EVs to early adopters, but Tesla's troubles may be an opportunity for EVs to widen their target market. As EVs become more affordable and the technology more mature, more diverse and inclusive messaging from trusted sources is needed to truly widen their appeal.
