25 years ago, I borrowed a friends older brother's Notre Dame student ID to see my first @umphreys.com show. I called home begging my mom to let me stay for set two - she was mad... I stayed. No regrets. Grateful to some original tapers (the Moriconis) for sharing shows & pushing me to go.

Snowy day, and the kids wanted to do something outside. I told them about geocaching a few days ago, and they've been asking to go - today, we found our first cache.

I am listening to the Soulshine Benefit at MSG today. A few thoughts - it's amazing how much the opening notes of Shakedown Street can change my mood. Trey's solo during Lie in our Graves will be one I revisit often.
